I’m Genevieve, and I am in the business of self-actualization, where we walk together on a journey towards wholeness and understanding of ourselves and our relationships with others.
I am an Integrated Therapist, matching therapeutic modalities to the specific needs of individual clients- whether they are children, adolescents, adults, couples or families. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach; treatment is as unique and individualized as the client. I am not the captain of this ship, you are, but we can discover the way together.
Experience
I specialize in working with children, parents and families navigating the profound task of human development- Coaching parents on sleep training and potty training, managing transitions and trauma. Helping children, parents and families understand things like ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, tantrums, separation anxiety, picky eating, sensory processing difficulties, and other mental health or behavioral concerns.
I may specialize in working with children and families, but I am also experienced in working with teens, adults and couples. I completed my Traineeship at Hope Counseling Center, and I am currently employed there as a Marriage and Family Therapist/Associate Professional Clinical Counselor. At Hope, I work with children, adolescents, adults and families impacted by developmental disabilities and co-occurring severe mental illness. I work closely with Psychiatrists, Social Workers, Case Managers, caregivers, clients and families to create a treatment program to support each client in living a vibrant, satisfying life with severe mental illness.
I have experience with Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), child and family centered therapy modalities, CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Existential Therapy, Solution Focused and Strategic therapy, and Positive Psychology, to name a few.
